Back in Bellingham

This art is by Carororo. It’s part of a display of fan art at Friendly Neighborhood Comics in Bellingham, Massachusetts.

Though that store’s in my home state, and my home state isn’t that large, it’s still what I consider a long drive from my home. What’s more, I’m in London this weekend, so it’s even less likely that I’ll visit. So I was happy to learn about this event online.

Are you doing anything fun in London?

Yesterday I went to the "Comics Unmasked" exhibit at the British Library before going upstairs to do some research. Very interesting, but dark—both figuratively and literally, since bright light can damage printed paper. The book and Sequential app might therefore be better ways to appreciate the actual comics on display, but seeing them arranged in particular patterns was valuable in itself.

Glad you got something enjoyable out of it! :)

You came all this way to see an exhibit?

No, I came to see my godson and his family in Putney. And I've done some Revolutionary War research at both the British Library and the National Archives. Last night we saw Kevin Spacey at the Old Vic. So I'm getting good value out of London!
